Our CAD team is excited to present SPI SheetMetal Inventor 2021. The newest version of our sheet metal add-in for Autodesk Inventor introduces some valuable new features as well as quite a few improvements.
Here’s what you need to know:
Introducing SheetMetal Inventor 2021
As you might know, all technology data for the unfold calculation and the transfer to NC processing are maintained in the in-built SPI Data Editor. In the 2021 version, the Data Editor has received some important enhancements that make it even more powerful.
For instance, unfold parameter sets can now be easily assigned to cutting as well as bending machines. And it is now possible to import aliases of sheets that have different properties but shared shortening tables.
A range of other improvements includes extended functions for output geometries, new functions for conditional outputs of bend angle and bend radius, additional options and improved alignment of markings and NC texts, and more.
Expand your Installation with New Modules
The functionality of SheetMetal Inventor 2021 can now be further expanded with two optional modules. Each requires a separate license.
- SPI Calculator – this add-on provides a rule-based cost calculation of your product in real-time. This allows you to quickly generate quotes and to offer the best price. Read more
- (coming soon) Schröder Interface – DXF-file export especially for the Schröder POS 3000 graphic control software.
